Holiday Information

Information and advice about going on Holiday if you or your companion has dementia:

For most of us, our annual holiday is a big part of our lives and would certainly contribute to us believing that we are ‘living well’.  Following a diagnosis of dementia many people feel that a lot of the things they have enjoyed in their lives will no longer be possible. In this section we hope that we have provided a range of information which may enable you to enjoy holidays for as long as possible.

If you are still confident that you will be able to travel independently but would appreciate some tips and ideas about how to ensure the trip you are taking goes as smoothly as possible, there are some very useful sources of information out there:

We have also provided pages with information about transport, respite care and alternatives to traditional respite care through supported holidays.

Working to increase awareness about dementia, to inspire people affected by dementia to live happier and healthier lives and to make every day matter.
